This refers to the recent news that yet another free agent has been brought in through the pipeline to fill a roster spot vacated by the loss of K.J. Originally we had hoped to bring in Reggie Evans errr...Patrick Diawara errrr...B.C. but of course he backed out at the last minute citing immigration problems or something like that. So I really know nothing about this player but according to our scouts he should help our inside game and improve our numbers on both ends of the floor when it comes to rebounding.
We have been down this road before of course with a few guys who have come in for a look and they either do not live up to the hype given to them or they simply no-show and we move on. Hopefully this signing is a positive one that we can use to build towards creating a solid up and down roster going into the highest level of competition this fall. As always I hesitate to get excited until I actually see the guy show up for the first game, pay his dues for the game, arrive with an orange jersey and show some kind of skills on the court. I'm pessimistic like that, what can I say?
